Professor Wael Al Delaimy, Division Chief of Global Health, Family Medicine and Public Health at UC San Diego School of Medicine and one of SASTA’s board members, is currently looking into the impact of global warming on the epidemiology of diseases and health. Such an impact had not been researched before!
Professor Al Delaimy has recently published a book titled ‘Health of People, Health of Planet and Our Responsibility’. It’s “the first book to include a wide range of scientific and non-scientific disciplines and views regarding health impacts of climate change”. The book also “includes contributions from four Nobel laureates, religious leaders, as well as thought leaders, politicians, and eminent scientists”
