Dr Al-Delaimy was Chosen by the American Psychological Association President which has more than 120,000 members, to be one of 12 Task Force Members on Climate Change. “It is an honour to be selected to be part of this Task Force,” said Dr Al-Delaimy, a SASTA member and Chair of the SASTA Board. The Task Force members come from diverse backgrounds to help guide the American Psychological Association on addressing climate change for the coming decades given the serious impacts of its threat to the planet and the population.“Psychological impacts are going to be the most important impacts from extreme weather such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, heatwaves, and other indirect impacts of global warming,” said Dr Al-Delaimy.
